Welcome to The Alliance
The Alliance is an innovative, specialist support organisation for third sector health and social care organisations, the majority of which provide services under contract.
The Alliance has a specific remit to build the capacity of the third sector to engage effectively in the design and delivery of health and social care services in Herefordshire. The aim is to bring about a greater diversity of service provision, with sector organisations providing more services where they are willing and able to do so.
The organisation is at the forefront of implementing the recommendations of the 2002 HM Treasury cross cutting review of the voluntary and community sector's role in service delivery, works closely with partners regionally and nationally, to ensure that its work is in tune with wider policy developments and in line with best practice and has developed the unique acquA kite-mark to accredit service providers' fitness for purpose.
