Eligibility
Category I: Full Membership
Full membership is open to legally constituted voluntary, community and non profit organisations and groups:
- providing services in the field of health and social care, however funded; and
- operating in the geographical area of the county of Herefordshire; and
- meeting the basic membership standards set by The Alliance.
There is a two stage application process for full membership. All organisations are admitted initially as Associate members. Full membership is through accreditation, not automatic. All third sector organisations providing services under contract or with grant aid from Herefordshire Council Directorate of Children and Young People's Services and Adult Social Care and from Hereford Primary Care Trust are required to be accredited by The Alliance.
Full membership entitles organisations to:
- be included on the Register of Approved Providers
- particpate in the governance of The Alliance
- act as a representative of The Alliance
- participate in all the activities of the organisation
Category II: Associate Membership
Associate membership entitles organisations to:- receive information about Alliance activities; and
- attend meetings, interest groups and other events
- voluntary, community and non-profit health and social care organisations;
- voluntary, community and non-profit organisations in relevant, related fields of service provision e.g.: education, regeneration, community development etc.; and
- third sector support organisations.
