The Accreditation Broker, Barbara Parkinson, is available to provide individual support for organisations going through the accreditation process.
The role of the Broker is to provide support and guidance to Alliance member organisations whilst they work towards accreditation.
Practical support will be available by facilitating access to resources and signposting to sources of specific help and advice as needed. Barbara is updating useful sources of help throughout this initial accreditation phase and looking to sharing examples of good practice, with an organisation's consent.
It is important to note that the relationship between an organisation and the Broker is quite separate from that with the Assessor; the Broker and Assessor(s) do not share or exchange information.
The organisation requesting assistance is able to discuss any matters relating to their organisation’s developmental needs in strict confidence.
So what is on offer?
Support and guidance to individual groups is available in the following ways:
- Confidential surgery sessions, one to one, face to face or telephone call
- Provision of a bank of resource materials available to member organisations
- Signposting members to specialist assistance as required and available
- Identifying and sharing examples of good practice
- Identifying learning and development needs through an initial assessment to be completed by member organisations
- Provision of local learning opportunities in response to common trends being identified by member organisations
- Help with access to financial assistance to meet developmental needs
